"I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times"

            - Bruce Lee

I was born of Filipino parents and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark. I have two elder brothers (George and Emmanuel) and a younger sister (Sherwin).

My siblings are all black belts in Martial Arts. George in Aikido, and Emmanuel, as well as Sherwin in Taekwondo. My dad did also practiced Karate when he was serving the police force in the Philippines before immigrating to Denmark in the mid 70's.

I started practicing Taekwondo when I was seven years old with my brother Emmanuel. The main reason for starting was that I have always been fascinated by martial arts movies, especially Bruce Lee. At the same time, I also needed a sport that could balance my temper.

Today, taekwondo has become part of my lifestyle and I always practice it passionately. Further to this point, I teach children and youth in order to give back to society as a way of showing my appreciation to my grandmasters, and to people who have helped me and contributed to my success.

To supplement Taekwondo I run, swim and practice yoga to prevent injuries. In addition, I do cross training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai.

To get the optimum out of training, I am aware of my daily eating habits and therefore try to live a healthy lifestyle. As a martial artist or athlete the body is exposed to high physical loads. Therefore it is important that the body is allowed to repair the muscle cells and replenish its energy stores.
